Media advisory – Canola meal research in China

Canola meal research results released at a Beijing event
Study results open up opportunities for Canadian canola in China

Results of a year-long study on canola meal in dairy feed in China will be presented at an event in Bejing Friday, June 14. The event will include Chinese dairy executives, officials of China’s Ministry of Agriculture, and local media.

Canola Council of Canada (CCC) President Patti Miller will be available via teleconference from Beijing following the event. She will discuss results of the study and what it means for Canada’s canola industry. Canola is Canada’s top agricultural export to China.

The CCC is a full value chain organization representing the entire canola industry, including growers, seed developers, crushers and exporters. Canola is Canada’s most valuable crop, generating over $15.4 billion in economic activity each year and is responsible for 228,000 jobs.

A news release on the results of the study will be issued prior to Miller’s teleconference.
